We are seeking detail-oriented Tax Reviewers to join our team! 

 

In this role, you will conduct thorough reviews of tax returns and related documents, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations. Your expertise in tax compliance and attention to detail will be instrumental in identifying discrepancies and providing actionable feedback to the tax preparation team. Full-time , part-time, seasonal opporunities exist in all of our offices across Pennsylvania. 

 

Hybrid and remote work arrangements are available.  

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax returns, financial statements, and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies, errors, or potential areas of non-compliance, providing clear and actionable feedback to the tax preparation team.
  • Collaborate with tax preparers to gather necessary information and resolve any inquiries or issues that may arise during the review process.
  • Lead tax compliance engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring that all reviews are conducted in accordance with the latest requirements.
  • Work directly with management and clients to build and maintain relationships
  • Develop and implement review procedures, checklists, and tools to streamline the review process and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of review findings, recommendations, and actions taken, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate proactively and timely with clients and team members regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other matters

 

Additional Details

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Masters in Taxation or Accounting is desired
  • CPA or current EA designation required
  • 3 of experience within a public accounting firm
  • 5 years experience preparing/reviewing individual (1040), business (1065, 1120, 1120S)
  • Proven demonstration of tax compliance and review across a broad range of entity types and multiple states
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple engagements while meeting tax deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational and written and verbal communications skills
  • Advanced Excel and tax preparation and research software system. (CCH is a plus)
  • Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 to 5, but must be willing to work 50-60 hours per week as needed to meet tax deadlines
