We are recruiting for an Advanced Staff Accountant to join the Tax department in our downtown Pittsburgh, PA office where you will receive a comprehensive training, generous pay, a dedicated mentor, and gain valuable experience and insight into the public accounting world. Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Preparation of individual, business and trust tax returns
  • Interpret raw data from client’s files and input into tax software
  • Prepare properly documented workpapers
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  • Become familiar with current tax regulations and updates
  • Obtain a working knowledge of a client’s business
  • Interact with clients to help efficiency on engagements
  • Timely communicate regarding status of work and issues to the engagement in-charge
  • Perform other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed
  • Manage and complete multiple projects/tasks on a timely basis while monitoring time spent

Additional Details

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related finance degree
  • Taking steps towards achieving career designations (CPA, EA, etc.)
  • 1-3 years of current or recent experience in public accounting
  • Personable, ambitious, and looking for a career path opportunity
  • Able to foster strong relations built on trust and credibility
  • Focused on meeting client requirements and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail focused and driven to achieve high standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with accounting industry software (including, but not limited to, data analytics and document management software)
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet client needs beyond regularly scheduled workday (evenings and weekends)
